shared bedroom nursery reveal

It may be a year late but, here is our shared bedroom/nursery reveal! We are a family of 5 and live in a 900-square-foot, 2 bedroom home! My husband hates how small it is, but I actually kinda love it! I love that it forces me to constantly declutter, so I find myself being more organized. There's also less space to clean (probably the best perk!). And, it makes it easier to bond as a family. My kids are so small right now that it just works for us. We will definitely need to upgrade soon, and as excited as we all are for that, I will miss our first, quaint and cozy home.

When I found out I was having a boy I knew I wanted to redecorate my whole room. It was my first son and I had to experience decorating without any pink, frilly, girly things.  My goal for this room and well, all the rooms in our home, was to maximize space! And while we needed it to flow as a nursery and bedroom, we still wanted to make sure Jacks had his own space. Lastly, every room in our home is neutral with lots of gray, black and white, so we definitely wanted to keep those same tones here. To maximize space and add storage, I used lots and lots of bins! From the file boxes I used as shoe and blanket holders on the shelf, to all the bins I added into the diaper cart, we have a lot of space for all of Jacks' little things! I just love how complete the room turned out! We've made so many memories here, It's been fun watching Jacks grow in our special space that will forever hold a special place in my heart.  Looking back through these photos makes me want to redo every room again...which brings up another perk of having a small home --it's less expensive to redecorate!

A huge thank you to my bestie Lauren from Lauren Pollard Photography for taking these photos!
